XOP Networks Universal Services Node (USN) is a Linux based robust and secure platform that supports multiple Information Assurance (IA) and Inter Operability (IO) capabilities that make it attractive for deployment at organizations requiring secure communications. The product interoperates with leading Cryptographic Terminals such as General Dynamics’ Sectera and L3 Communications’ Omni STE/STU equipment. An end user with a Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP) compliant secure phone can call into the conference bridge over the PSTN/DSN and participate in an encrypted voice based secure conference call.
XOP Networks’ Universal Service Node with 16 analog FXO ports received JITC certification in July 2010. XOP Networks’ has expanded the capacity of its secure conference bridge from 16 FXO ports to 32 FXO ports. The expanded product has also received JITC certification. The USN-32 complies with requirements stipulated in multiple Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) including those related with Defense Switched Network Security, Database Security, Application Security, UNIX OS Security, Web Security and Network Security. Several other enhancements were introduced including support for Secure conferencing, SMS driven instant-conferencing, Group SMS and Voice SMS. In 2010 the product line was further hardened for use in defense networks and received the coveted JITC certification from the US Department of Defense. In 2011, Desktop Video Conferencing and One Number Service were added to the product line.
